athr is what i believe, not only an art gallery but an art center that gathers artists from all around the region and expose them to each other and to the world !!
what i love about athr gallery is that it cares about the concept as much as the execution and look of the artwork. it raises the bar for all art galleries and ateliers in saudi

last year young saudi artists 1 was held and it exposed a lot of amazing artists !!

i’ll publish sneak peeks of the artwork during the exhibition opening !

invaders v.1

the invader

they’re invading the hijaz !!!! WATCH OUT

هح

Foremost Iranian artist, Parviz Tanavoli, was a founder member of Saqqakhaneh a term coined for an artistic movement which began in 1960s Iran and which sought to integrate popular symbols of Shi’a culture in art,a spiritual Pop Art as it has been described.

Parviz always inspired me with how he uses letters as if they were alive, and the consistency of his work is something i always try to achieve in my own work !
he has long been inspired by the word Heech “هح” ¬ meaning nothing – used by local iranians as “sigh” which has created in numerous and ever more ambitious forms.

i was lucky enough to absorb one in front of my vey eyes, and i TOUCHED IT !! last time i was in Dubai at opera gallery DIFC
